Skoda had unveiled its best sedan "OCTAVIA"
Octavia is the best in class product from Skoda globally. Recently its fourth generation was unveiled by the company. It will be arrived in India by Mid 2020.
This upcoming model has a length of 4690mm which is 19mm longer and is also 15mm wider than the outgoing model. The boot space was also increased by 10 liters which is now 600 liters. The inner cabin was very premium using these soft-touch materials which enhances the ride comfort. The dashboard now hosts an 8.25 inch or 10-inch infotainment system. Skoda also introduced gesture control and an advanced voice-controlled digital assistant named Laura.
This new Octavia is built on a reworked version of Volkswagen's MQB platform. The base model will be coming with a 1.0-liter three-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine which produced 110HP.
A 1.5-liter turbocharged petrol engine was also available which produces 150HP. They come with a mild-hybrid technology. The flagship petrol engine is a 2.0-liter TSI all-wheel-drive engine which produces 190HP and is connected to a 7-speed DSG dual-clutch automatic transmission. But they offer only 1 diesel engine with 3 stages of tune which is 2.0-liter with 200HP, 150HP, 115HP.
A plug-in hybrid petrol version is available for the first time which powered by a 1.4-liter gasoline engine and 103HP electric motor connected to a 6-speed DSG gearbox with a combined output of 203HP and claims 0-100 in 7.9 seconds. It is expected that this car will be priced between
Rs.20 Lakhs to Rs 30 Lakhs.
