BS-6 Versions of Yamaha FZ, FZ-S launched at Rs 99,200
: The Japanese automaker Yamaha has launched its BS-6 compliant two-wheeler in India. Both FZ and FZ-S were upgraded to V3.0 which are powered by a 149CC single-cylinder engine, just like the present generation but with an increased compression ratio from 9:5:1 to 9:6:1. Both were Air-cooled, 4 stroke, 2 valve engines. Both these motorcycles comes with a 5-speed transmission and Fuel injection. These both had a tank capacity of 13 litres.

Peak Torque:- 13.6 Nm at 5500 rpm Peak Torque:- 12.8 Nm at 6000 rpm
The updated model produces lower power than the outgoing model but noticeably it produces higher torque figures at the lower rpm in the rev range. The rest of the bike remains mostly unchanged.
features like front and rear disc with single-channel ABS continuous from the outgoing model. It sports with a negative LCD instrument cluster.
Dimensions of both the vehicles are the same i.e. overall length of 1,990 mm, Width of 780mm, Height of 1,080mm. Wheelbase is about 1,330 mm and ground clearance is about 165 mm. Kerb weight of both these motorcycles is 137 Kgs.

Coming to the price FZ model starts at Rs 99,200, and FZ-S starts at Rs 1,01,200. Yamaha also revealed that remaining models will be updated with BS-6 compliant in the near future.
